Weeks after blowing through his own April 1 and 'late April' Roadster dates, Musk told Q1 2026 earnings listeners the demo — expected to showcase a SpaceX cold-gas thruster system that briefly lifts the car off the ground — was 'a month or so' away, calling it potentially 'one of the most exciting product unveils ever.' By early June reporting put the demo in August or later.
