The fine print

Said Aug 25 2026 (oEmbed-verified @elonmusk, html dated August 25 2026) quoting SpaceX's Starbase Louisiana announcement. Three claims in one sentence: (1) over a dozen launch towers, (2) enabling more than 30 Starship flights per day, (3) biggest launch site on Earth. 'Ultimately' is dated by his own Aug 21 tweet (#250) aiming for 30+/day in 2030 — Louisiana is the site he said enables that cadence, so L10 deadline is end-2030. Distinct from #242 (1/day by 2027) and from #250 (fleet cadence); this card grades the Louisiana facility. Same hour he replied 'All accurate' (https://x.com/elonmusk/status/2092293363215282202) to Sawyer Merritt's recap that construction starts in 2027 and the first Starship launch from the site is planned for 2029. Those two dates are SpaceX/LED/Shotwell's wording, which Elon endorsed but did not originate — not graded as separate cards (reaction/endorsement rule: the forecast sentence isn't his). Company outcome evidence: Shotwell at the Aug 25 Abbeville event, Louisiana Economic Development, CNN/Reuters 2026-08-25.

On August 25 2026, as SpaceX unveiled a new $100 billion Starship spaceport in Vermilion Parish, Elon Musk said Starbase Louisiana would ultimately have over a dozen launch towers, enabling more than 30 Starship flights a day and making it the biggest launch site on Earth. Four days earlier he had already put a year on that cadence: 30-plus Starship launches a day in 2030. SpaceX and Louisiana officials separately said construction starts in 2027 and the first launch from the site is targeted for 2029.
