Wall Connector is the hardwired 48A home unit (Wi-Fi, app scheduling, 24-foot cable). Universal Mobile Connector is the portable brick: no electrician if you already have a 240V outlet, slower ceiling (32A / about 30 miles of range per hour), and it travels. If the garage already has a dryer-style outlet, Mobile is usually the cheaper Tesla home charger. If you want 48A, Wi-Fi, and a cable that lives on the wall, buy the Wall Connector.

Tesla Support (2026) typical range is $750–$1500 for a licensed electrician, permit, and a dedicated 240-volt circuit, on top of the unit. A panel upgrade is extra.
