Tesla 'urban transport' bus unveiled in 2017

The 'high passenger-density urban transport' vehicle — described as a smaller autonomous bus with summon buttons at bus stops — was never unveiled in 2017 or any year since. The closest thing Tesla ever showed is the 20-passenger Robovan concept at the 'We, Robot' event in October 2024, seven years after the promised unveiling, and that vehicle has no production date. Re-graded delivered-late (2026-07-05 audit): the promised milestone was an unveiling of a high-passenger-density urban transport vehicle, and on Oct 10, 2024 Tesla officially unveiled exactly that — the 20-passenger autonomous Robovan at the 'We, Robot' event, 6.8 years late.
