What actually happened
The 'high passenger-density urban transport' vehicle — described as a smaller autonomous bus with summon buttons at bus stops — was never unveiled in 2017 or any year since. The closest thing Tesla ever showed is the 20-passenger Robovan concept at the 'We, Robot' event in October 2024, seven years after the promised unveiling, and that vehicle has no production date. Master Plan, Part Deux promised a Tesla bus — 'high passenger-density urban transport' with shrunken autonomous buses and fixed summon buttons at bus stops — would be unveiled in 2017 alongside the Semi. The Semi appeared on schedule; the bus simply vanished from Tesla's communications. The forgotten half of the Master Plan Deux vehicle promise.
