In December 2023 Musk said he would be surprised if payments on X took longer than the middle of 2024. They did. In November 2025 he said X Money "comes out soon." It launched publicly on June 25, 2026, to some US Premium+ subscribers, with person-to-person payments and a Visa debit card.
